A tasting notebook that grades you

Taste with method.

Wine exams don’t test whether you can tell Syrah from Grenache. They test whether you can write a precise, calibrated note under the clock. Enolog trains exactly that: write your note, hold it against a reference, see where you drift.

Founding members: $59 for the first year, then $79 a year. No card now.

What Enolog trains

Write, don’t tap.

Full notes, appearance to conclusion, in the structure your exam expects. No multiple choice, no swiping. The sheet is the training.

Held against a reference.

Every wine in the library carries a reference note written to exam standard. You see exactly where your intensity, structure or descriptors drift, line by line.

Calibration you can see.

Your notebook remembers. Over weeks it shows which calls you overshoot and which you undercall, so you find your blind spots before an examiner does.

How it works

01

Pour.

Pick a wine from the library, or log your own bottle with producer, vintage and region. Blind if you can arrange it.

02

Write.

Fill the structured sheet, under the clock if you want exam conditions. Save it. Then, and only then, reveal the reference.

03

Compare.

Drift is marked line by line. Correct the note in your own words and move on. By next week the pattern is on the page.

Who it is for

Built for people with an exam date.

Candidates sitting WSET® Level 3 or the Diploma, CMS Certified and Advanced hopefuls, and serious amateurs who want a disciplined palate rather than a label scanner.

If you want to identify a bottle from a photo, there are good apps for that. Enolog is for the note you write afterwards.
